I can't even count the number of broken friendships and ties on both hands. There were so many mistakes, and so many things that could've been done differently. It's funny - well, not really - to think that things could have gone smoothly had I approached the situation differently. (Had they approached it differently.)
But if I look at the root of the problem, I was the one who initiated everything. All the people I have lost were the people I looked at and decided to make the first move upon. A simple hello, or quick question had adjusted the course of fate. What I did was throw myself into the dangerous pattern of the unknown. It's not difficult to see why things happened the way they did, but it's difficult how. Had I not started anything, nothing good would have come to an end.
If you trace it back carefully, it seems I am at fault. I caused every single fracture; I'm accountable for everything.

Hmmm, I know what you're talking about. Friendships can be difficult if you're the one making the effort. But true friendship goes both ways, and the best friendships over time will only get stronger. So don't beat yourself up! You are a great friend!! :)
ReplyDeleteIt takes two to tango Rachel, don't blame it all on yourself. If things are meant to be they will be, I guess it's life telling you you're jamming to puzzle pieces together that don't fit. Don't worry there's plenty of other people willing to call on you as a friend, friend ;) x
ReplyDeleteThe amount of times I have fallen out, like really broken, my friendship with one of my best friends - we've known each other since birth - is awful, an every time, it hurt more than the other. But now, we're so close, it's insane, we know each other inside and out, so maybe a crack was what you and your friend needed to be able to build up again, and before you know it, you'll be black, and even better.
