Talk about a crazy transition into the freezing cold.
Leaving the house, I had no idea of the weather to come. It was a tad chilly and all, like the past few days. It always managed to warm up by noon. Hence I didn't think to bring a jacket. I should've, because it has certainly felt like the first day of autumn!
In Australia (or WA at least) the definition of autumn/winter is torrential rain and wind. That's the most accurate explanation I can provide.
I survived the cold, woohoo! We had to swim in the rain, which we didn't seem to eager about. I thought, what the heck, and jumped right into the pool. Never would've guessed it, but I had fun today. However, for the earlier part of the day, there were fatal things on my mind. I wasn't feeling emotionally stable until art. That one class always make me happier. I hope that if I continue to pursue art in Year 12, I'll be able to paint something marvellous. To engage in creative outlet, where I can channel my expression to.
The entire day, I had savoured the idea of basking in the warmth, sipping hot chocolate in a dim setting. That's exactly what I'm doing now. In my new room setup, my brother assisted me in installing a sound system. Cassie's lent me two of her Marina and the Diamonds albums; The Family Jewels and Electra Heart. They're certainly a different genre than I'd prefer, but a few songs appeal to me. I've been adoring Teen Idle, as of late. I love the exposure of mental corruption. It also shows society's depiction of wasted youth, though quite contrastingly, I feel that the song is about wistful regrets. Think, not doing anything exciting as a teenager. What do you think?

Yay for art! I took a painting class in my senior year and it was so worth it. Now I'm taking art in college. You'll learn really fast, and it's a perfect outlet :D
ReplyDeleteYes! You are living proof of the wonders of art. I'll stay motivated. Thanks for the reassurance, I really needed it :))

Oooh, you'd be best friends with my friend, Cassie, then! She practically worships Marina. I think she's getting me into her as well, though I'll have to see if her others songs speak to me as much. :)
