'And if I may just take your breath away ... Sometimes the silence guides our minds.' - The Neighbourhood
Ventured to the Royal Show today, which was a great kickstart to the school holidays. I arrived there with Mariel, Julia and Alyssa and we spent most of our hours strolling around. We also hung out with Sam, Melissa, Yuxian, Celine, Lynn and a few others. Overall there was a lively atmosphere, with lots of families and groups of friends with the same intention in mind: fun. Me being the timid type, I decided to pass up on the extreme rides. However, I did settle for the chair swing, ferris wheel - to which I may add, was quite lovely - and some other nauseating ride which induced much screaming. (You know when your insides kind of shift around while you're holding on for dear life? Yep, that's the feeling!)
Nightfall finally engulfed the entire scene; soon it was just Alyssa and I. We managed to get 'exclusive' seats at the main field. Fireworks set off in the inky canvas of the sky. The display was breathtaking, as everyone watched mesmerizing colours crackle and burst into life. The wait till night was completely worth it, and I don't regret any part of the day - well, apart from gross cheesy fries. It was a rather pleasant experience for my first time, and I wouldn't mind going next year at all.

This looks even better than what you made it sound like. Looks like you guys had a great time. The fireworks look great, I wish we had more firework-related events in Holland.
ReplyDeleteProbably because I write in a seemingly mundane tone! I did have a swell time. I'm sure Holland is much more exciting than Perth ;)
