Whilst Aarushi and I were in the city, we visited the Stay Safe Charity Exhibition. I've been intending to immerse myself in more art this season, starting today. The month-long exhibition features artwork by contemporary artists all around Australia, in conjunction with SAFE - a local charity dedicated to saving animals from euthanasia. In my opinion, it really is a creative cause deserving of public interest.
I thoroughly enjoyed all of them but Maddy Young's piece (first and third photo)* certainly stood out from the rest. It was our flat-out favourite, after countless minutes of observation. I believe it stands for the harmonious balance between animals and humankind. I also find that its tranquil, imaginative nature is the perfect representation of modern amity.
To imbue our generation with gratitude for Mother Nature, is the message I interpreted from her piece. I don't think I've ever been moved by such a masterpiece before. I hereby prompt you to regard Maddy Young's with due respect and admiration. She does have some of her gracious works up on her Big Cartel store, which are purchasable. You can keep up with her artistic genius through Tumblr and Instagram!
*I have formally contacted Maddy Young and sought permission to display her artwork on my blog.

Thank you for a beautiful comment Rachel ;) I am doing summer practice in a hospital and there are people with leukemia there and it just saddens a lot. This art you have showed here is amazing.
