Old and new vibes.

  It's the first day of Year 9!

  Yes I was, and still am enthusiastic about school. Is that odd? Perhaps it's just the aspect of diving into my social life and enjoying electives. Being able to spend hours and hours a week with friends. Plus, I'm not unaware of how the school works. This is the year when I will have things under control. A positive turning point to help myself. It's going to be hectic, and I know I can get through it.

  I arrived in school, full of anticipation. I huddled with my friends and schoolmates in the Year 9 quad, a place we hadn't really entered. And to think, it's ours for 2013. We were all whisked off for a short briefing, our bottoms on the grass. Teachers came and went, announcing information about the year ahead of us. They called out form classes, and as it seems, my form class is my Chinese class. Talk about weird. I guess it works, though. 

  Receiving our timetables was the event I had longingly waited for. I don't mind the placement of core subject classes, except for the fact that we dove right into work. I'm thrilled about Drama on Wednesday, then again on Friday. Drama twice a week was enough to perk me up. I did have Art and Craft today, however, it wasn't very exciting. Good thing I'm with Cassie and Bernice. I'll be patient and give it more time before the fun takes off.

  English class was pretty good. If only I had arrived on time. (You see, Mohamad had accompanied me to the nurse when a nosebleed caught me by surprise. He's my saviour, that boy.) Our teacher, who I had misjudged, most definitely knew her place. She enforced her wise opinions on us and encouraged us to do our best. There's a lot more to it, namely things like creativity and organisation. She allowed us to decorate our journals. 'Go crazy with it!' was what she had expressed. So I did. It's in the photo up there, I think I'm proud.

  As I've mentioned in my 2013 resolutions, I'm aiming to spend less time online. So that's my call; I'm logging off now. Time to test out the comfy new couch set that arrived today. I'll try to watch the news for English class. :)
