Let it all out.

Finally saw Melissa for the first time in months! We just chilled at the park with some takeaway. Things were all lovely until a bird decided to make me its target for the moment of excretion. It was pretty nasty, but I shook the ordeal off. Apparently, it's good luck when that happens. Let's see what kind of fortune is coming my way hahah!

From browsing through the racks of Cotton On, I ended up with a lightweight tank for $10. We decided to pick up two bottles of water as well, after the cashier told us that proceeds go to charity. I thought, why not! The bottles came chilled, and with 600ml for $2, that's surely value. I loved the motto that was imprinted on the label. 'It's the little things that make the difference.' Well said.

Walking home in the heat was bearable, to say the least. The Aussie heat has consumed me once more - something I don't miss too much. Retreating inside was a wise decision. Melissa spotted my guitar in the corner of my living room, and she had to grab it. She tuned it, though not completely because I was lazy to go further with the whole thing. Oh, everyone's incredibly musical. I'm happy the way I am; trying guitar someday would be nice though.
In lieu with Chinese New Year, my Mum's spruced up the place with related adornments. The concept of white and green makes for a relaxing atmosphere. Hints of red spring from every corner, which reminds of the occasion. I personally don't celebrate Chinese New Year, as I'm not a particularly cultural being.

Ah who could forget the food! We gobbled down sparing amounts of beef brisket stew, prawns, tofu, paper-wrapped chicken, pork with mushrooms and a special salad. Adding the ingredients was the first part, and then we gathered around the table to toss it. It was all for prosperity and well wishes, as I was told. It's interesting alright. My Mum and I, with ravenous appetites, were having seconds whilst everyone started on dessert. I got to it, syrup containing longans and nata de coco. I spent the next few hours watching Alice in Wonderland with the coolest ten-year-old boy. He knew every top hit off the radio, and surely knew more than I did when I was that age. He seems like my kind of person, I can imagine if he turned out like me. Another great individual to accompany me was Aaron. He's my brother's friend, and an ideal one at that. Despite not knowing him well, I poured my heart out to him. I do trust him 100%, believe it or not. He's generously given me advice about my troubles, and made my night. I'd love to meet him, actually!
Here, I leave you with a typical photo. Possessing a professional camera doesn't make you a photographer, as I prove here. I didn't get any shots of my outfit so here's a peek. Just a deep purple crop top for the daytime, paired with distressed shorts. Practical was the way to go.

I still have a tiresome load of work to get to tomorrow. Oh well. Cheers to the weekend, everyone!
